Angler’s Club of New York – ANGLER’S CLUB BULLETIN (Vol. V11., No. 3) – 1928 – What’s not to love about these historic little collectibles? The articles are written by what truly reads like a who’s who list of the angling world’s luminaries. When you open this old gem, you are greeted first by a cover picture of George LaBranche showing the editor how to catch trout on the Kennet followed with a 6 1/2 page article by the old man himself; G.E.M. Skues. This is followed by an article about the Brodhead of the Henryville House fame. Also articles by Ed Hewitt, George Parker Holden, a note from Henry Van Dyke, a letter from the then president Henry A. Ingraham author of the classic “American Trout Streams” and includes some delightful tongue-in-cheek poetry. I personally find these bulletins to be a wistful look back at the golden age of trout fishing. – excellent condition for a 80 year old softcover - $100.00 – .
