Cross, Reuben C. – THE COWDUNG OF SHIN CREEK – 1949 Only Edition – Exposition Press, NY – 30p – I keep hearing that there are supposedly only a few of these little booklets left in existence. These type rumors are hard to substantiate, but I can tell you that this is not a very difficult book to find, it is an impossible book to find. If you are an avid collector I can guarantee you that adding this little gem to your library would give you bragging rights, because chances are no other collector you know has a copy of this little rarity. Rube Cross as you probably already know was an integral member of the historic Catskill School of Traditionalist Fly Tyers. All of his books are considered very collectible if you can find them. This is one you cannot find. This will not sit on the shelf, so you better decide quickly about this one. - There is a little damage to the front cover as seen in the photo, as well as some staining to the title page and back cover—but where this impossible find is concerened, Who cares?. The text and the remainder of the book are in good to very good condition. I repeat, impossible to find! - $200.00
