But I, like many other angling literature lovers, always perk up when I hear Louis Rhead’s name mentioned. Well know as the author of many book and illustrator of countless others and having written classic angling books such as “American Trout Stream Insects” (1916) and The Speckled Brook Trout” (1902), it poses the question. How talented can one man be? Many people collect angling books just to amass the artwork of Rhead, and yes, he was that good. This is an early work and is in absolute wonderful condition for a book over a century old.
