Swisher/Richards – FLY FISHING STRATEGY – 1975 1st ed. – Crown, NY – 184p – If this book had nothing to offer but the valuable advice related to presentation casts, it would be well worth the price. It is in this book that Doug Swisher, an FFF Certified Master fly casting instructor popularize the “reach-cast”, a now widely accepted method of extending a drag-free drift. Also included are instructions for other alternative casts intended to improve your all-important presentation. In addition there are instructions concerning the approach and other proven techniques. Includes new patterns developed by the authors such as the Stillborn Duns and their No-Wing Spinners as well as suggestions on how to fish the rises when there are no rises. A valuable learning tool and a book I personally recommend when asked about good instructional books. – this one if fine in a fine dust jacket – Signed and Inscribed - $55.00 |
