Family Circle – TROUT FLIES (And How to Tie Them) – 1954 1st edition – 48p – Nicolas Kaye – Here is an early book on fly tying that was very well-received and was therefore responsible for assisting many anglers of the day to begin tying flies. Published prior to the popularity of fishing emergers, included are color plates along with a plethora of the old wet-fly patterns which are now difficult to locate. A good reference for serious fly tyers. - It always delights me to find these early books in this extremely nice condition. This particular book, as you can see by viewing the photos, is in near perfect condition. This book is a truly wonderful, inexpensive collectible, and in addition to the valuable ageless information it contains, it will serve to actually dress-up an angler’s bookshelves. – book is very fine in a fine slip case with just a bit of fading. $45.00
