| Leisenring, James – THE ART OF TYING THE WET FLY- 1941 1st edition – 81P – Dodd Meade, NY – “Big Jim” Leisenring was considered by many to be the best wet fly fisherman alive and was elevated to the status of being the American equivalent of England’s Skues. This was not hype, this man could catch fish. All experienced anglers are familiar with the “Leisenring Lift” which is a tactic many astute anglers now mimic to improve their fish catching technique. This first edition was followed in 1971 by a second printing entitled “The Art of Tying the Wet Fly and Fishing the Flymph”. This second edition is also very popular and often sells for over $100.00. This book, which is the true first edition is now very hard to locate, and all but impossible to find in a decent dust jacket. – Very rare – Book is fine in an edge worn but whole, very rare unclipped dust jacket. - $225.00 | |
